The BikeSafe National Booking Service was launched in September 2010. The system allows riders to view the workshops on offer with Police Forces across the Country, book their spaces and fill in an online evaluation form following the workshop.
Some key statistics from September 2010 to September 2011:
- 72% of riders who booked a workshop were aged 50 or under.
- 91% of riders who booked a workshop were make.
- The biggest proportion of riders attended their workshop on a Sport/Touring style machine (35%).
- The majority of our customers booked in March 2011 for workshops between April and July. This shows that people plan their workshops early in the season.
Based on responses from the BikeSafe Evaluation Form, we found that:
- Almost 100% of customers felt that BikeSafe offered Value for Money.
- 10% of riders who took a workshop between September 2010 and September 2011 had more than 10 years riding experience.
- 86% of BikeSafe customers said that they would consider Accredited Training as a result of BikeSafe.
- 91% said that their attitude to risk had been positively affected by BikeSafe.
