The popularity of ‘BikeSafe’ is key to its success. Our workshops are largely capacity driven with many more riders wishing to attend than can be accommodated within the current resourcing arrangements.
Emergency Service riders have a huge amount of training both attitudinal and technical. Once qualified, their crash profile is miniscule compared to the civilian motorcyclist profile. Simplistically, more training seems to result in greater safety.
Civilian motorcyclists have a desire to engage and available data shows that many riders go on from ‘BikeSafe’ to undertake some form of formalised post-test training.
