Ride To Arrive

Welcome to BikeSafe Avon and Somerset

Motorcyclists get the chance to have their riding skills assessed by experienced police traffic officers during special road safety events. Please visit the events page to see the dates of events we will be attending with our display trailer.

The scheme is open to riders with a full licence, and any size of machine.

The aim of Bikesafe and Ride to Arrive is to get riders to recognise the skills they need to enjoy their motorcycling and stay safe. Hopefully it will encourage them to develop their techniques and if necessary get further training.

To get a taster for the scheme you can now visit the dedicated Ride to Arrive website where you can take a small course on-line.

Interested? Then ring 01823 363200 or contact us on-line.

Weekend safety seminars

Fully residential course based at Police Headquarters, Portishead, Bristol.

One-day safety seminars

Conducted when and where there is demand.

Lots of companies now have travel planners and encourage people to use other forms of transport other than personal cars. Members of clubs or organisations can contact us to arrange either the one day or weekend seminars, this offer applies throughout the year. We have also had one-day events at a number of large companies within the Avon and Somerset force area and are happy to hear from companies wishing to participate this year.

If you think you would like to find out more, why not call the above number and add your name to the growing list of people who have taken up the challenge.

Don't just take our word for it, this is what other people are saying:

  • "Real riding for real motorcyclists starts with the knowledge and improves with experience."
  • "If you come along and leave with something, then it can't have all been a waste of time."
  • "I wish I had done this years ago - I would have enjoyed it more!"
  • "I thought I was a good rider until I followed these guys!"
