Welcome to Bikesafe Kent
Road Rider Workshops2008.
For 2008 Kent Police Motorcycle team’s Road Rider Workshops will start again in April and will run to the end of the season.
These assessment days are aimed at any rider who is thinking about rider training but are not sure if it’s for them.
You, as a rider, may not like the prospect of signing up with an Advanced rider or further training organization, that’s where we come in, this scheme allows you to see if …
- Advanced training is what you think it is … and
- If Advanced training is for you … or not.
Building on the strengths of last year's project a few improvements have been made for you as a Biker.
- An easy to find venue. Map included….
- A more convenient timetable. Weekends are now included … again.
The new improved Road Rider Workshop will allow the assessments to run under in various traffic conditions and will start from Kent Police motorcycle Teams HQ. Coldharbour Traffic Station, Maidstone Kent. (Just off junction 5 M20) at 9 a.m. on the allocated days.
The rest of the day will be the same format as last year, a short presentation outlining the aims and objectives of the project followed by a good days riding and plenty of bike talk. If you know anyone who got a place on one of last year's courses you should ask them what it was like, I’m sure most will say what a very worth while day it was.
During the day riders will be assessed by our police Class One riders and all riding issues will be open for discussion. The route covers a variety of road types and traffic conditions and a total distance some where in the region of 100miles.
The Day will cost you as a rider £55 plus your petrol, Lunch is included in the price.
