Welcome to Staffordshire Police, BikeSafe events calendar for 2009.

I would firstly like to thank all riders who attended Staffordshire Police BikeSafe events in 2008, helping Staffordshire Police make it one of the most successful  years to date. As a result of last years success it has enabled the Road Crime Team to increase the events calendar this year, taking on  new dealerships in an attempt to give all areas of the county support allowing riders the opportunity to attend one of the BikeSafe events in their local area.

Staffordshire Police BikeSafe consists of a DVD presentation on the  areas of Motorcycling where statistics show the majority of collisions occur: positioning, cornering, overtaking and junctions. This will be followed by a riders assessment conducted on a one to one basis carried out by a Police Motorcyclist on a marked patrol bike. The assessment  will cover all manner of roads relevant to that area, followed by a de brief on your ride. The Officer will also give both positive and negative feedback if required on the areas of your riding where it is felt you would benefit from further training.
