Rider
Workshop Contents and Schedule
The workshops are designed to enhance the skills of all riders who have
already passed their tests, and are particularly suitable for those that
may be returning to biking after a period of absence.
Each workshop will be of two days duration, and will operate on Saturdays
and Sundays from 9.00am to 5.00pm. There will be space for 12 people on
each workshop, being held at the
Road Safety Centre
Crown Way
Maindy
Cardiff
CF14 3AJ
The workshops will be very much practical and hands on, and there will
be ample opportunity to take part in lengthy observed rides on good biking
roads.
Saturday
09.00 - 10.30 Administration and Introduction – Bikesafe Video
10.30 - 12.00 Road Craft instruction
12.00 – 13.00 Lunch
13.00 - 16.45 Assessment Rides with Police, IAM and RoSPA Advanced Riders,
during which time you will cover about 100 miles/Mechanics & Braking

16.45 - 17.00 Course De-Brief. Any Questions & Closure
Sunday
09.00 - 10.00 Re-cap. Debrief and Questions from previous day
10.00 – 12.30 Road Rides, during which time you will cover about
100 miles/ First Aid
12.30 – 13.30 Lunch
13.30 - 16.00 Road Rides, during which time you will cover a reasonable
mileage/ First Aid
16.00 - 17.00 Full Course De-brief and Closure
