BikeSafe – Rides into the NEC 2003

The Bikesafe initiative goes from strength to strength, evidenced by the fact that stand T90 at the International Motorcycle & Scooter Show was inundated with visitors for the duration of the show.

Of the thousands of motorcyclists that visited the stand over 1450 people declared an interest in BikeSafe by taking the time to complete a registration form as well as talking to the officers present on the day.

22 UK forces were represented at the show, all taking the opportunity to promote BikeSafe initiatives in their own areas and generally be on hand to discuss any motorcycling related issues and offer advice to members of the public.

Several top ranking British and World Super Bike riders also visited the BikeSafe stand to offer their support and mingle with the crowds. Niall Mackenzie, Neil Hodgson, John Reynolds. Shakey Bryne and Liam Haslem all took the time out from hectic schedules to reinforce the importance of safe riding on the roads of the UK and the importance of getting some training and improving road skills.

Even Suzi Perry dropped by to cheer up the officers working on the stand and lend her support to what is becoming an initiative that cannot be ignored!
