Bike Safe is a nationwide initiative run by many Police Forces around the United Kingdom. The aim is to reduce the number of motorcycle accident casualties by promoting safer riding through lectures and assessment ride outs taken by police advance motorcyclists.
Cumbria has already seen the benefit of this scheme with a reduction of almost 20% in the number of motorcyclists injured in collisions on our roads during - January to June 2009
