Tony was a late comer to biking. He took his CBT and then went through Direct Access to get a full licence. Conscious that he didn’t have a lot of riding experience, Tony signed up for Bikesafe. “I hoped to gain some expert advice on safer and smoother riding, and an observed ride to point me in the right direction for further training. It didn’t disappoint! I came away with some real world advice and I felt inspired to try and further improve my riding.” The Institute of Advanced Motorists “Skills For Life” course was mentioned on Tonys Bikesafe session. Tony decided that it looked like it was just what he was after, building on the things covered in Bikesafe through a series of rides where he’d be coached on his riding technique. “I signed up and completed the rides over the summer, and passed the final assessed ride. Although I’d thought about it I don’t think I would have been motivated to do the IAM course if it hadn’t been for the Bikesafe session. It seemed beyond me. Bikesafe gave me the confidence to try, and the Bikesafe inputs we had were a great grounding for the IAM training.”

“I enjoyed the course. It was delivered in an informal atmosphere but covered a lot of useful information for me even though I have been riding for many years. It has boosted my confidence and I learnt some valuable points on hazard awareness, positioning and general road craft. The guys presenting the course were knowledgeable and passionate about motorcycling and improving the safety of motor cyclists. I thought the course represented very good value for money, especially compared to other private training that is available. I would recommend this course to other motorcyclists.”

“What a great bunch of guys, they made everyone at ease and they had a great sense of humour, I really learned a lot from my day with BikeSafe and I would and have !! highly recommend the course. well done lads for giving up your fathers day for us !!”

“I found the course very good and have already recommended it to friends and family. I was thinking of further bike training but this course has certainly bridges the gap and I will be registering with the IAM for further training in the new year”
